Noom: One Year Later
Back to square one?
It was the bras.
My lovely new, light-weight bras were suddenly uncomfortable. They were getting tight in all the wrong places. By the end of the day I couldn’t wait to take them off. But why? I couldn’t understand it. It was almost as if they had shrunk.
Oh.
It had been a good summer. But as winter rolled around again, old eating habits were coming back. Serving sizes got larger. I had stopped paying attention.
I had got bigger.
One Year Later
By the time I realized what was going on, it was almost exactly one year since I had first signed up to Noom, and eight months since I had completed my 16-week paid Noom program (you can read about that here).
It wasn’t surprising to find the weight creeping back on. It’s easy to eat too much as the weather starts to get colder. I was still doing the same amount of exercise, so I couldn’t blame my activities on the weight gain.
In the past — before Noom — I would have tried to do more exercise to lose weight. It doesn’t work. For me, more exercise equals more appetite. Which equals more out-of-control eating. Followed by post-binge guilt exercising. A nasty loop.
