I got Substack About Page envy today. While doing research for my soon-to-be published Substack Success book, I discovered that in the last few months many more creators have started using simple text-based GIFs on their About pages. And they look good.
Working with GIFs is easy in Substack; you can handle them just like you would any static image. You can find GIFs all over the internet, and there’s one for almost any occassion, but what if you want to make your own?
In this post, I show you how to make your own sweet-looking word GIFs, so you can say “Sign up” or “Thank you” to your subscribers with panache. Here’s how.
Step 1 Pretend You’re a Shit-Hot Graphic Designer
