If you have a Substack newsletter, I have the perfect new year’s resolution for you.

This cute concept in business planning could help you in 2023, and I want to quickly share it with you. It could be the new year’s resolution you need.

It’s the underpants gnome.

Underpants gnomes

The underpants gnomes were creatures that featured in the American comedy animation South Park. They spent their evenings stealing underpants from the citizens of the town of South Park. They collected these underpants for their business venture.

There was one small problem with their business venture. Their strategy was to firstly collect underpants; then get rich from the underpants. They didn’t have a plan for how to get from collecting pants to getting rich.

Do you have gnomes?

Is your Substack adventure suffering from a gnome infestation? Are you missing a well-defined strategy to get you from “Writing a newsletter” to “Earning decent money from my newsletter”?
