Arrr drats; can't believe I got suckered into reading yet another article about how to succeed at writing on Medium!

I'm trying, I really am, to not click on headlines like yours. I'm worried that the only people who pay for Medium membership do it because they want to write for Medium.

If we're all here to write and we all want to succeed then the most popular topic will - of course - be about writing on Medium.

.... and so, I fear, Medium is in danger of disappearing up its own arse.

I hope you earn good money from this piece. Medium promoted it to me at the very top of my (emailed) daily digest (damn you, algorithms, you know me too well).
